The organization is looking to energize itself through a redesign and renewal of its Vancouver office facilities that would include a complete review of Vancouver office space usage. This project will report to the CMHA-BC Chief Executive Officer, who is assuming the Project Sponsor role.
Develop a facility floorspace design and execution plan that will adhere to the organization’s priority of fostering wellness in the workplace, enabling improved collaboration and connectedness, while improving organizational functionality.
- Five years project management experience
- Expertise in planning out major initiatives
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Familiarity with office space redesign and renovations would be an asset
- Facilitation experience would also be an asset
- Experience with not-for-profit sector is desirable
Estimated Time Commitment
- 4 to 6 hrs/wk
Start Date: October 7, 2019 End Date: March 31, 2019
Scope of Work
- The Pender St. office facilities only
- Re-design to include entire floor space and all within; options including complete minor, moderate, and major redesign and renewal of offices, workstations, kitchens, hallways and meeting rooms
- Coordination of search for a Space Redesign vendor
- Creation of project options and estimates in consideration of available resources
- Project Charter, outlining critical project operational understandings for all stakeholders; i.e. project organization and structure, vision, roles & responsibilities with RACI, constraints, communications plan
- Facilities’ requirements from staff and management
- Floor space design to include designs and budgets for immediate, near-term and long-term changes
- Execution plans to include resources, equipment, technology, renovations
The PM volunteer will have end-end accountability on project deliverables, reporting to Dammy Damstrom-Albach, Confident Parents Thriving Kids Behavioural Program Manager, supported by Maya Russell, Community Engagement Director.
The Program Manager will provide a letter of recommendation to the PM volunteer at the successful conclusion of the project and serve as a reference if appropriate.
