Project Manager: Out On Screen Strategic Planning
Organisation: Out On Screen
Closing Date: June 8, 2017
Organization’s Mission: Out On Screen celebrates, illuminates, and advance queer lives through film, education, and dialogue. Our mission is achieved through two core programs: Vancouver Queer Film Festival and Out in Schools. Our program model is to curate, convene and catalyze both the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, two-spirit, queer (LGBT2Q+) communities and beyond.
Out On Screen celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2018. It requires a new three-year shared strategic vision and annual operational plans to continue to grow and evolve to serve its communities. In anticipation, the organization will review the current state of the organization, obtain stakeholder feedback, revisit existing strategy documents, and have the board and staff engage in reflection and strategic discussions to determine a new strategic vision and priorities for this leading queer arts organization.
Major Steps in the Process
- Data collection (environmental scan, stakeholders, donor and community input, review of roles and responsibilities, business plan analysis)
- Analysis of data
- Strategic planning sessions with board and staff (outcome is a high-level strategy and priorities)
- Operational plans for each department including a 30th anniversary organizational plan (outcome is a set of work plans)
